gifting money
greenconfidence asked:

It’s going to be for like my family… only gift money (not food or anything else) … I was thinking of buying everyone “new york” shirts. Let’s say for about 4 people, and then for about 5 more people like little trinkets like magnets or key chains…

so how much 4 people (shirts)
and 5 people (key chains)

Does $150 sound to optimistic?

If you go to Canal Street, there are dozens of shops where you can buy fake watches (Rolex, Piaget, etc) for less than $15 each. Usually $10 each. They’ll only last a few years, but are really cool and look terrific. Also great looking leather purses like Dooney and Bourke, Gucci, etc. for $30 – $50.

    All fake, but available everywhere.

Definitely try going to canal street. Go on a nice day though, when the weather isn’t raining and miserable. There are so many things to buy there for really cheap. If you don’t get a chance to go there, and if you’re just in the airport or train station, bring about 200. The airports and train stations always charge more.
