Do I have to give money (gift) to a baptised person?
AIPAC Sucks asked:
Hi,
My friends aregoing to baptise a child, soon. They invited me and my boyfriend to attend a ceremoney at a church and a lunch at a restaurant.
What kind of gift or how much money do I need to prepare for it ?
What do people usually say to a baptised child ?
Thank you.

I would tell the child congratulations on the important decision they’ve made. A gift of money would be acceptable, but I think it would be appropriate to give a cross charm (cheap) or pendant, or even some other small Christian-based trinket. A study bible would be an excellent gift if you could find one in your price-range.
